The starting point

We’re heading to Lisbon as a participating startup at Web Summit 2026. We’re bringing one practical question: how can hotels make environmental data easier to collect, check and use?

See you in Lisbon, November 9–12

MyCarbonAI will be part of this year’s Web Summit. From November 9 to 12, 2026, we’ll be in Lisbon to share what we’re building and meet people who understand the practical challenges of sustainability in hotel operations.

It’s a milestone we want to use to listen. We want to understand how teams work today, where they spend time looking for information and what they need to demonstrate when an environmental data request arrives.

The problem we’re bringing to the conversation

An energy bill in an inbox. A water reading in a spreadsheet. Waste records held by another team. When it is time to bring everything together, the challenge starts before any calculation: finding the information, checking the period and understanding whether the figures are comparable.

That is where MyCarbonAI is focusing its work. We’re building a connection between source documents, structured records and hotels’ environmental processes. Our focus is to preserve the context behind each value: where it came from, which property and period it covers, and what still needs review.

What we want to learn at Web Summit

We’re currently building and validating our approach in Portugal. Web Summit is an opportunity to test our assumptions against experience from operations, technology and investment.

We want to discuss where automation can help organise information and where human review remains necessary. Being able to return to an original document and identify a gap is part of building trust in the data.

  • Which documents are hardest to collect across hotel teams and properties?
  • What checks need to happen before a figure can be shared?
  • How can this work fit into the routines and tools hotels already use?

Who we’d like to meet

If you work in hotel management, operations, maintenance, finance or sustainability, we’d like to hear about your process. A specific example of a difficult data request can teach us more than a list of desired features.

We’d also like to meet technology partners, sustainability professionals and investors interested in the connection between environmental data and hospitality. We’re looking for perspectives that can help us build something useful for the people doing the work.

Will you be at Web Summit?

Get in touch and let us know you’ll be in Lisbon. Tell us a little about your work and the topic you’d like to discuss so we can arrange a conversation during the event.

We’re excited to bring MyCarbonAI to Web Summit 2026 and meet people who want to improve how hospitality works with environmental data. See you in Lisbon.
